- Inwood Estates: This family-owned winery is located on 200 acres of land and produces small-batch, high-quality wines using traditional winemaking techniques. Inwood Estates is particularly known for its Tempranillo and Merlot varietals, and they also offer tastings, tours, and events.
- Slate Theory: This boutique winery focuses on producing handcrafted wines using grapes sourced from select vineyards in Texas and California. Slate Theory’s wines are known for their complexity and balance, and they offer tastings and private events.
- Ron Yates: This winery was founded by a fifth-generation Texas winemaker and produces award-winning wines, including some made from grapes grown on-site. Ron Yates is particularly known for its Tempranillo and Roussanne varietals, and they offer tastings, tours, and events. The winery also has a beautiful outdoor patio and picnic area for visitors to enjoy.

Calling all history buffs…
- National Museum of the Pacific War: This museum is dedicated to the history of World War II in the Pacific, and is located in Fredericksburg because it was the birthplace of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, who commanded the U.S. Pacific Fleet during the war. The museum features exhibits on the war in the Pacific, including interactive displays, artifacts, and a recreated battlefield.
- Pioneer Museum: This museum showcases the history of the Texas Hill Country, including the region’s early settlers, Native Americans, and German immigrants. The museum features several historic buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, and a log cabin.
- Fort Martin Scott: This historic site was established in 1848 to protect settlers from Native American attacks, and was later used as a training ground for soldiers during the Civil War. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the fort and learn about its history.
- Vereins Kirche Museum: This museum is located in the Vereins Kirche, a historic building that was built in 1847 by German immigrants. The museum features exhibits on the history of the building and the German settlers who founded Fredericksburg.
- Lyndon B. - Pedernales Falls State Park: This park is located along the Pedernales River, and features several miles of hiking trails, swimming areas, and picnic spots. Visitors can also fish, tube, and kayak on the river, and explore the park’s scenic limestone cliffs and rock formations.
- Fredericksburg Nature Center: This nature center features several miles of hiking trails through native Texas Hill Country habitats, including woodlands, meadows, and wetlands. Visitors can learn about the local flora and fauna, and explore the center’s many exhibits and educational programs.
- Wildseed Farms: This working wildflower farm features several miles of walking trails through fields of colorful wildflowers, as well as a gift shop and nursery. Visitors can learn about the different types of wildflowers grown on the farm, purchase seeds to take home, and enjoy a picnic in the fields.
- Hill Country Balloon Adventures: Visitors can take a hot air balloon ride over the scenic Texas Hill Country, enjoying panoramic views of the rolling hills, vineyards, and wildflowers below. Flights typically last between 45 minutes to an hour, and include a champagne toast upon landing.
